  1. Hi

Which is the best setup to copy with cause if I do CD copy about 90% of the time the vcd will work in move DVD player. With the wizard CD Copy it works ok but i can only make 1 copy at a time.Ive got record now max, is that better than nero to copy vcds or and other programs.

    Thanks

  2. ive used nero myself and it works on occasion. it seems sometimes it makes some that play and sometimes it doesnt. ive heard that VCDEasy is a better program to burn VCDs with. im going to try that my next time around.

  3. I use Nero to burn ALL my VCD's and I have never had a problem. As long as you encode with something else (TMPGEnc), convert in the right format (PAL/NTSC) and burn at no more than 8x it should be fine.

  4. i have had limited success with copying a vcd/svcd straight, sometimes it works and sometimes no. so i now just use for copying a burnt disk
vcd easy will allow you change the vcd (on cd i am assumeing) .dat file to a mpg it can use properly for burning,
just copy the file from the vcd folder and then change with vcd easy

under > tools > mpeg tools > bottom has the convert a mpeg file with riff header (.dat) to a "true mpeg" then you can use vcdeasy to add chapters and make a bin/cue that you can burn as many copys as you want with it
if you need more help on using vcdeasy then on the bottom of this forum is whole topic just for vcdeasy
    hope this helped if not
keep posting back here and one of use will help you thru this and any new problems you may encounter.

why do you have to burn at 8X nothing bad will happen. plus if your just gonna make an exact copy of a VCD you should have no problem with nero as for burning i always use VCD EASY cause you can make chapter points and in NERO you cant. oh and i have burned over 130 movies all at 16x nothing wrong with that speed.

  6. i burn daily at 24 time and have had no blocky or gimped video's
and have gone up to 32x of the 48x i have use of usally only go that high for iso files

my opinion is that is most to do with your comp, burner and buffer
more than speed of the burn.
    hey but thats just me,

reason my other box is simulare to this one p3 1gig 512 ram and had a burner that failed repeatly at 4 and 8 times, No buffer
turned the burner in under warrenty and they gave me a totally diffrent one and now it will burn at 48times , so far 3 mths and not one coaster on the exact same machine same settup!

  7. IMHO, the best way to copy a VCD (or any disc) is to use CloneCD. Make a disc image first and then burn that image to any number of subsequent discs.

  8. heaney52000, since you already have RecordNow, just use the Build Global-Image to dump the CD image to your HD, and then you can copy the image on your HD to a blank CD. You can reuse the image to do multiple copies.
