Hello. I just purchased an avermedia stereo tuner card and the installation seemed to work well. I loaded up the included avermedia software and was able to view the tv on my computer thru the coaxial input. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to record. When I hit the record button I get a fatal error and an offer to send the message to microsoft.
I then loaded up powervcr II. In this situation I get volume but before a picture comes up, I get a fatal error and an offer to send the message to microsoft.
Anybody have any ideas to debug this problem?
Thanks,
Mike (Da Bears)

Assuming you are running Windows.
Have a look for any warnings/errors etc. in the 'Settings' -> "Control Panel" -> 'Administrative Tools' -> 'Event Viewer' (look in both 'Application' & 'System').
Also look in 'Control Panel' -> 'System' -> 'Hardware' -> 'Device Manager' and see if there are any device problems highlighted.
You can also check out 'Programs' -> 'Accessories' -> 'System Tools' -> 'System Information' -> 'Hardware Resources' (Conflicts/Sharing etc).
I would expect one of these to give you some more information on the problem.
