The starting image is 1173 x 800 but when I open it in Nero C.D. it takes up less than 1/4 of the Insert page.
Does it lose quality when I drag it out to fill the Insert page ?

I have an Epson Photo 830 printer.
It prints photos great but when ever I print out DVD covers they come out crap. I'm using HP "semi-gloss everyday photo paper" but no matter what settings I choose I get the black bleeding into the other colours.
Perhaps I might have to try some Epson paper.

I'd suggest trying out CoverXP and see if that does what you need.

I use SureThing. The backgrounds you can add to your labels beats Nero hands down in muy opinion.

Nero editor looks pretty but ultimately is

It ended up printing at about 100dpi the couple times i tried it.. you're as well to make yourself a big ass image in paintbrush (or paintshop/photoshop etc if you can "afford" it) - just use the old system of notepad/pen pad/eyes to transfer the titles and details - then print it at custom size (4.75 inches on a side, ~12.25cm) or drop into word and resize.

Best of all is using MS Publisher or similar programs as they're hella easy to make designs for such things with, once you've got the size down (basically get a preprinted one and grab a ruler). Even fairly decent results with a few gradient fills, bit of text, a couple auto shapes and a photo/scan/drawing or a carefully chosen clipart.

    bundled stuff usually =

Back after a long time away, mainly because I now need to start making up vidcapped DVDRs for work and I haven't a clue where to start any more!

It turns out the semi-gloss HP paper I'm using is shit. I printed the same picture twice, first on HP then Epson paper. The print on the Epson paper came out shmick. Could be one reason, apart from the obvious, why Epson recommend using their own papers.
