  1. i captured frommy ati 9000 128 DDR ViVo card using composite and audio left and right from a DV-CAM! but the picture which was recorded was grey and it dropped frames like HELL! i used adobe premiere and chose 640x??? for quality! can someone tell me what an suitable quality is when i capture from a DV cam not using a firewire??? would be appreciated!!!

    Well, for starters, using the firewire cable is not "capturing" but instead merely transferring a file from the digital camera to the PC vai the firewire cable.

    If you're using an ATI card with a digital camera, are you sure you're not re-capturing and thus wasting the benefits of having a digital camera?

  3. well, i know firewire just tranfers the file but i didnt know how to say it when i capture the movie with adobe premiere via composite cable... i just want to have the movie on the DV-cam on my pc and thus tried it via composite which really sucked! i wanted to know how to receive good quality using composite... ???

  4. Not possible. Composite is 40+ years old from the age of vacuum tubes.

  6. S-video typically has about twice the resolution of composite.

    Use firewire.

  7. i know that!!! but if i havent a DV cam how can i capture my VHS tapes with the best quality? could u tell me the connections?
