    This seems like a regular CDRW drive, you sure it's a DVD Burner ?

    actually i think it is.. i put a dvd into the drive and it just pops bak out...

    From what you just said, it sounds like you tried putting a DVD movie inside a CDRW drive! and that's why it kicked it out, you can damage your DVD movie if you do that
