recordnow prob with xp

ive been using recordnow for quite a while now no problems at all on win 98se
i upgraded to win xp and since then no good disc's
i have installed the nimo codec pack same as on win 98 but i cant seem to solve the prob
im using the same discs as always ive even tried to copy a disc i made while on win 98 but i get an error message when i try to play back on my computer

"windows cannot read from the disc it could be using a format not recognised by windows"

any ideas please im stuck

as a last resort can anyone suggest another program so i can write video_ts vob filed to a disc

I've been using recordnow max for quite some time now on win xp pro and haven't had any problems at all. when you switch from win98 to xp, did you do a complete install (reformat entire drive), or did you just do an upgrade? I would suggest doing a complete install whenever upgrading operating systems to avoid problems.

Recordnow max v4.5 on 3 pc's now running xp pro with no problems.

I used to be a die hard Nero fan, but got fed up with bug fix updates every second week, used RMN for ages now and stable with no updates.

Could it be your DMA settings or ASPI layer causing the problem, as xp dosnt have an ASPI layer from a standard install (see tools section for a fix) or the DMA settings in the device manager are set to PIO and not DMA.

yes i did a full format and complete install ive also instaled sp1

after an hour of searching i did enable DMA but im going to the tools menu now to get the fix for aspi

will let you both know how it goes shame to loose a good prog like recordnow
