Recently I have the problem of writing dvd's at 2x. I have in the past produced many dvd's at 2 x with no problems. When I try and write a dvd at 2x it writes the complete dvd but the last 10 percent will freeze when I try to play back after burning. I have killed several dvd's in the past two days trying to figure this one out. I am successful writing at 1x, they come out flawless. I looked at the burn on the dvd after writing at 2x and you can see that the burn near the outter end of the disk is lighter than the inner burn (beginning). I have tried several different size burns ranging for 2 Gb - a full disk and have the same problem everytime. I have done nothing to my system to create a conflict. Can't figure it out. The specs on my system are:
P-4 1.9 Ghz
Abit Th-7 II Motherboard
768 Mb RDRAM
60 GB IBM Hard Drive
450 watt Power supply
Pioneer A04 DVD-RW
Toshiba SD-M1612 DVD-ROM
LG 40x12x40 CD-RW
G-Force 3 Ti 200
