  1. I have a Panasonic DMR E-20 Stand alone DVD Recorder.
I've transferred home movies from VHS to DVD (XP Mode).
They play FINE on my Standalone AND on my PC (using a Pioneer A05)
    Running Win 98
    333 Mhz processer
    162 Megs Of Ram
    Power DVD Software

My problem is when I make a copy of the DVD (using Nero) on my PC and send them out to 3 friends; 2 of them say the DVD "locks up" but the third friend says it played FINE all the way through!

I've been told the following reasons for the problems occurring and quite
frankly I don't know WHAT to believe!

    1) The software I'm using to copy the DVD's (nero).
    2) The "Brand" of blank DVD's.
    3) My PC's processor speed is too slow.

I find all 3 of these hard to believe and feel the problem;em is on the
other end, with the people that are trying to play these DVD's.

I have ALL these "Master" DVD's I've made from my old VHS collection and I'm afraid to trade with anyone because of a backlash fear that people wont be able to play (or partially play) the DVD's I've made
If anyone can help or point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it!

The problem is either cheap media that fail at burn or that they do not have players that are good enough to handle DVD-R/+R discs.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
