  1. I created chapter points with vcd easy and was able to access them from win dvd on my computer, but both home dvd players only seem to recognize tracks and not chapters. Will any dvd player recognize chapters within a track of a vcd, or is there any burning software which allows one to write tracks manually?

  2. Skudra,

Since you are able to access the chapter entry points through WinDVd I would imagine that encoding and authoring went well. At least if you are able to access them through the "Menu" button of WinDVD. If so, this would mean that you have the proper sequence headers before every GOP in your encoded MPEG and VCDEasy recognised them as such during the authoring process.

The only conclusion to make in that case is that your DVD players don't support PBC control, OR MOST LIKELY PBC control is switched off. If so, then chapter and entry points do not work either. Check your DVD players user guide for the PBC part.

Hope this is of help to you.

  3. If you DVD player recognised them as tracks, then you probably made tracks.

Entrypoints are completely different to tracks. If you made tracks, you must have had ?separate MPEG files for each track?
