So last night I bought a DVD writer and so far am happy with it. But I am still having problems with flickering in the final product.

Basically, I am just loading up some good quality digital pics onto the timeline in Vegas Video, adding some panning and zooming efects, then rendering to MPEG2 with Mainconcept or TMPGEnc. I usually just put it on best quality, 16x9 and progressive only, however, the final video on my HDTV has flickering problems which are much more noticable in pics with horizontal lines or strong, sharp edges and it is distracting. It makes what would be an awesome production terrible looking.

I know the problem lies somewhere in Interlace/De-Interlace, Progressive/Non-Progressive, Alaising/Anti-Alaising, field order, etc. I supposed with a million test encodes I might be able to figure out the problem, but I was hoping that someone on the forum would help me shortcut this.

If anyone has any tips, advice or experience with this, please respond.
Thx.
