Perhaps you could tell us more here. What camera you're using, what you're capturing with, anything that could help us. Anything more than the quality sucks, what can I do.

  4. I also have TRV22. Its image quality is excellent. Did you use TRV22 as web cam mode connecting USB? You need to record using DV tape then transfer your recording to computer via firewire cable.

Damn , so much for me replying with only half a brain.
The USB transfer method only does 15fps. The firewire will allow you to get the 30 fps and the video will look great. You can get a firewire card for 25.00 or so. Sometimes you can buy Pinnacle's Studio 8 with firewire card on sale for 80.00(US). hope this helps alittle more. 8)

I have the Sony TRV25, and just love making Home Movies with It. I even did a video for work.

  8. 2c on the above - if you do buy pinnacle to get the firewire card, don't assume you can use the pinnacle S8 software for much - compare chipsets/specs, etc. on the firewire card pinnacle offers vs. others & if the card itself is worth it, then go for it, but don't be fooled by the pinnacle Studio 8 s/w...it looks like it would be really good entry level s/w but it has many problems (all discussed in the pinnacle forum www.pinnaclesys.com - click support then click studio 8 (in the consumer apps box ) then click forum.). I have had good results w/ the firewire card that came w/ s8, but I think(?) its a TI chipset(?) which you can probably get on other cards too...
