I tried to copy a 4GB file with windows explorer (win98 se)and I got the message 'cannot create or replace .... The parameter is incorrect'. I thought win 98 could handle 4g dv files?

it can handle 4gig, but not over that. 3.95gig i think is the exact amount. make sure you have enough hard drive space (sounds dumb, happens) and the file is not over the 3.95gig limit. Win2k or WinXP can handle any file size you throw at it.

I can create and use 4GB files but Windows Explorer does not like to copy files greater than 2GB.
