Why is it after i split a film using V dub mp3 and then encode each seperate file I then encode using tmpg the sound disappears, could somebody please help

Nickbfc, post up as much detail as you can, video codecs, audio codecs what are you using Vdub for ? etc etc.
The more info you provide the greater the chance that someone will be able to help. -
If its VBR you may have to extract the audio and "SAVE AS A WAV" in Virtualdub then use resulting WAV as Audio source in TMPGenc.
If its a XVID feed directly into TMPGenc.
I have had much better success by splitting the movie during the encode process(ie:In TMPGenc ,I use Source Range,Save 2 projects and then Batch Encode.)"Today is only yesterdays tomorrow"
