  1. Does anyone know where I can pick up CCE Pro encoder. It is not available at the CCE homepage. And one other question. I am using CCE lite right now, whenever I try to encode one of my avi(s) I get an error from CCE stating that it was looking to start from 0 instead of 8 or something like that and it does not create the mpeg for me. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

CCE Pro is a real time MPEG-2 encoder, that comes along with a frame capture card and a decoder card.
Visiting their homepage you probably noticed, that there is no fixed price, but a "ask us abour the price"
If an average MPEG encoder like CCE SP (this is the one, that is used by most people) is almost USD 4000, what do you think will cost CCE Pro? That's why it is not available at the homepage and probably nowhere else.

  3. I see said the blind man...hahahaha you are exactly right. I cannot believe that tehy want 4000.00 for a board and encoder, for that it should be able to do big time Bollywood productions.....I mean Hollywood...hahaha. At any rate Trueman, can you maybe tell me what I am doing wrong with CCE Lite version then?

Actually, there are 3 encoders: Lite, SP and Pro

The lite version is just a couple of hundred dollars. The SP version is $4000. Both of these are software only. The Pro version is the one with hardware bundled with it. It's price is so high, they couldn't fit the numbers on their website.

I never tested the lite version. I need to use VBR and ccel does only CBR as far as I know. Try cce sp, there is a DEMO available at Doom9's downloadpage.

  7. The company I work for sells CCE Pro bundled with Zapex MPEG2 encoder cards. The starting price is $6200.00 and it goes up to $15000.00.

Oh, good heaven above. I'll just stick with my AIW Radeon card. $200 some dollars, and plays games too.
