Man, i i'm in trouble!
I was trying to watch the mpgs i converted w/ TMPGEnc and i was not being able to do it, so i searched for a MPEG-2 codec and i think i isntalled one but now i cant see any mpg file!!! I try with Winamp 2.91, Windows Media Player and RadLight and it always shows this message: The Program generated an error and will be closed by Windows.
I am so mad w/ this stupid computer!!!![]()
Can anyone help me???

try VIDEOLAN, a free Mpeg2 player with integrated codec.
If it works, you can uninstall the others and just keep QuickTime.

Try to find Dxman.
In a rather recent post, by Baldric, if I remember correctly, around March 15~25th, this utility was suggested as a tool to remove unwanted codecs that were causing problems. The URL to obtain it is either in the post or you will find it in the tools section.
I've used it myself and seems to do a fairly good job removin specific drivers.
And never install any codec you find without second thoughts. Consider unknown codecs a potential danger. I never try any of these unless I have made a ghost image of the system disk before. If the codec is causing problems, I just restore the ghost image and no harm is done. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -
well, it played w/ Videlan
and about the dxman it showed me a list of codecs and only one was showing error but i chose to remove and it doesnt remove...HELP ME PLEEEEASE! -

-Control Panel
-System
-Hardware
-Device Manager
double click on -Sound, video and game controllers
double click on -Video codecs
click on the "properties" tab
click on the codec you want to remove.
