I'm using Mac and working with the program (imovie). It won't support or accept the mpeg. Is there a way to convert mpeg to dv stream? (without using parts to convert, but program)

  2. What iMovie are you using? If you're using iMovie 3 you should be able to drag and drop the mpeg into the clip pane window. (For some reason it doesn't allow you to File:Add Clip/Open? a mpeg.
Or you can open the mpeg in quicktime pro and try converting it. If you don't have quicktime pro try opening it with MoviePlayer. (An old skool mac os 9 quicktime pro LITE version, Free) and the convert it.

    Good luck

Quicktime Pro will export mpeg1 to DV Stream with no audio. iMovie will then accept the resulting DV Stream.
