I'm too lazy to rewind the DVDs myself, so I just eject them and put them back in the case and let the DVD Faeries rewind them for me.

  6. The last time I checked DVDs are discs, not tapes. They don't need no rewinding.

  13. I've been using my CD rewinder that I bought about 12 years ago. DVDs are physically the same size as CDs, but I suspect that since there is greater data on a DVD as compared to a CD it takes longer to rewind a DVD on a CD rewinder than a genuine DVD rewinder. Still, I've received no complaints from Blockbuster about my DVDs rewound on my CD rewinder.

Interestingly though, while I have had great success using the Bedini CD Demagnetizer to improve CD sound, it is essentially ineffectual with both VCDs and DVDs. This phenomena I cannot explain.

  20. A doble layer DVD, it's like an autoreverse cassete, so when you finish both sides you have already rewind it, so please don't worry.

Please remember that when rewinding DVD that it should not be in play mode. If you rewind it while its playing then you will wear out the disks a lot faster and the tape heads on the player will suffer increased wear. Before you rewind the disk make sure it is stopped, just as you do with a VHS tape.

instead of rewinding, i'd use the 'select chapter' feature of the dvd's main menu, select chapter 1, then eject the dvd, before returning it...

Of course not! 8tracks could not BE rewound. Silly person.
    Not like the DVDs anyway.

I do not rewind my DVDs or VCDs, but I DO rewind my PSX and Saturn games. I got into that habit with my old Sega CD system.
