HI,
used nero 5.5.10 to burn bin of movie.
plays and sounds fine BUT, subtle jerkiness thruout playback on pioneer dv333. using pioneer a03 dvd burner, no other programs or playing with the mouse or keyboard during burn. Could norton antivirus being on auto protect cause this?
thanks for any pointers.
Jack

I have had this same problem with both S/VCD's and converted .avi's to DVD-R.... though I do not know how to fix it or why it happens exactly ... my guess is that it has something to do with framerates...
ie..the S/VCD or converted avi was in 24(film) or 25(PAL) fps and when you play it on a NTSC machine it causes the jerkyness.....but I am not sure...
I have tried to switch the field order in TMPGEnc to no avail...if someone does know though I would greatly apprecitate an answer too....
and for me the sources are all progressive ....
another note....the jerkyness happens also on my pc....but after installing Reclock in the Tools section here it clears it up....not sure if that is somehow related to it being jerky on a standalone....
UPDATE: hmmm.....found this thread https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=158033
I had also tried 3:2 pulldowns which did not work either...but maybe I was doing something wrong...
