    Hey,

Does anyone know how to get joined mpeg files to play properly on Windows Media Player 9?

The videos work on my old PC (it's running WMP 6.4 with a lot of old codecs installed), so I know the files aren't corrupted. But I haven't been able to get 'em working on this PC.

For example, I'll have a huge file that's been split up and put back together, but WMP will only play the first section of the movie then stop. It also displays the movie's total time as being much shorter than it actually is. Any ideas?

How are you joining the files? I would try TMPGEnc if you have not done so.

    Thanx for the response.

the files have been joined already when I receive them. I know some were joined by Camel MPEG Join, some by Peck Join... and almost all of them have the Ligos codec. I have indeo and ligos codecs installed already, but the joined files have that problem.

You may want to edit out exactly where the files are joined.
