So it finally happened: A hose on my watercooling system blew and gave my "utility" PC a long needed shower . I had two systems, one I use for everyday stuff which is the one that got hosed, and another one for video editing. Lucky for me I have it set for multi-boot due to my program needs so no loss as far as compatibility. Since my video craze has wound down some I was just going to keep this one system and use Win 98 for gaming. The problem is the video card is an older AIW 128 with a Rage Pro 128 chip which gives me very sluggish performance with Splinter Cell which I just purchased. Can someone suggest a card of the AIW line , of course more up to date. I am willing for suggestions such as a separate 3D/2D video card and a separate TV Tuner/Video capture card. For a gaming card I have several ideas but want some suggestions. My budget is between $200-$300. I have read reviews about the Radeon 9000 but it seems like they mention the performance on newer games isnīt that good. Anyone have a similar card and what is your opinion about its gaming capabiliies?

I have the Radeon AIW 7500 and love it for the price. I think you could probably get a 9000 now for the price range you specified.
