  1. For those of you who want to share pictures, here is a new tool
    http://ccdtovcd.sourceforge.net

It allows the creation of VCD/SVCD based digital photo albums with each picture being an mpeg still. I recommend you guys take a look at the example on the web site to get an idea of what it can do.

It is java based and currently requires mpegtools (for encoding), vcdimager (for authoring) and cdrdao and burning, thus restricting it to Linux.

Being the author, I used it myself many times with no problems.

  2. Please, please, please, for the love of God, make a Windows compatible version...

There's a version of MJPEGTools compiled for Windows (VCDEasy uses it).

    Best regards.

I am so with you on that.
I am yet to find a photo slideshow program I am willing to spend money on. They all seem to want to convert them to a movie stream with set time intervals. I would dearly love to have one that allows you to navigate freely.

    So I second this plea.
The glass is neither half-full, nor half-empty.
It is simply twice as big as it needs to be.

  4. First of all, thanks for your input.

Making a windows compatible version is next priority.
    I'll post a message once it's done.
