  1. ok i have just made a DVD using this GUIDE but for some reason it wont play on my home dvd player.

basic summary of the guide is rip with dvd decrypter, transcode with dvd2one but instead of copying it with copy2dvd i used nero following another tutorial from the site.

my question is- why wont it play?

all help would be greatly appreciated

    regards

Many have problems with Nero burned dvds.

What version did you use? Try upgrade to latest if you haven't.
    Read this topic, https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=127624 .

If that does not help I recommend to try another burning tool like CopytoDVD, Recordnow max.

It may also be the media, have you tried with different brands? and both rw and r? Check the DVD players lists.

I burned (2) of my DVD's with Easy CD Creator. They play fine on my computer, so I am assuming I have successfully backed them up. But my DVD player won't play them, I think it is because my RCA player is pretty old....

  5. using the other nero profile still didn't work.

i tried to use copytodvd but when i try to select the VIDEO_TS folder, instead of adding it, it opens it and shows a 26kb VIDEO_TS folder.

    i am going to

    1. project
    2. and then write dvd video. to copy it with copytodvd.

    is that right?

also is there any easier methods to back up dvd's

    plz help
