I can do motion menu background with maestro but not sure If its possible to do same for the buttons. I like to have about 10 sec. of movie on each buttons (the main menu background will be still picture) I've seen that in many commercial dvds that have motion buttons for the chapters.. can this be done with maestro.. HOW? If not with scenarist? I haven't used scenarist so will need more help if I have to use scenarist. I'm preety experienced with maestro just can't figure this one out... anyone HELP...please

That moving picture is not the button, its just a part of the video. The button is just a subpicture, a subtitle basically. The subpicture is just put on or around the moving part. Any DVD Authoring software which supports moving menu's should be able to author such a menu, but you have to prepare your assets accordingly first.
You need to overlay your little clips onto your still picture, and export it as video. This is easily done in Adobe After Effects by just dragging and dropping. The only free program that I know of that can do this is avisynth, but it will require a some knowledge of AVS scripting. I believe this is the command you would need to use. http://www.avisynth.org/index.php?page=Layer
