I copy alot of DVDs into SVCD (played as VCD using header trick) with Eazy VCD software package (TMPGEnc, DVD2AVI, etc). Often I just rip the DVD first and encode at another day with another computer. The first thing I do is create another .d2V file with my VOBs. Ive noticed that the iDCT_Algorithm setting changes. What the heck does this mean? Does this only affect audio, video, or both?

Here an example:

(Original)
Stream_Type=1,0,0
iDCT_Algorithm=1
YUVRGB_Scale=1
Luminance=128,0
Picture_Size=0,0,0,0,0,0
Field_Operation=0
Frame_Rate=25000
Location=0,0,5,41C02

(New, Other Computer)
Stream_Type=1,0,0
iDCT_Algorithm=2
YUVRGB_Scale=1
Luminance=128,0
Picture_Size=0,0,0,0,0,0
Field_Operation=0
Frame_Rate=25000
Location=0,0,5,41C02
