    There's an link in the tools section on this site to

    TINRA (This Is Not Real Anymore)

    and a GUI for it.

    They'll convert to wav, and you can encode to mp3 from there with LAME or many others.

    actually, I forgot, TINRA produces avi files - you can still use it and then strip the wav out of the avi afterwards.

    this might seem a bit messy, but it does work - i've done it before.
