  1. Hi, After using Virtualdub to extract the audio from the avi i re-encode using Tmpenc. The sound quality is great with no sync problems however, the video is very sticky. I have tried 3 .avi files now and iam experiencing the same probs on all of them. Iam very new to this so all i have done is follow step by step the guides on this site. I have looked everywhere for a problem file on this but cannot find one.

I have done everything step by step off of the site, Please Help....

open the avi in vdub. then check file info for the framerate given in fps. you should use the same fps for the output on tmpgenc.

I'm having the same problems (although my audio only starts out great ... then has periods of static). I'm still working on it, but I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Is it the mpeg itself that is playing poorly or the disc after it is burned? How is the quality of the mpeg after using TMPGEnc? I think we're having a similar problem. My mpegs are beautiful after converting, but after burning, the DVD is terrible. I'm trying to zero-in on the problem too.
