Am half way through the game and I see the video files are saved in Divx format.
However the audio files are in a ADX format.
Does anyone know of a way to read them / convert them into wav files so they can be combined with the video files?

Should have said it has nothing to do with Dreamcast.

any news about this? i tried lots of things for a full day trying to get those audio tracks (*.adx) to play, and nothing. the only thing i found that seemed potentially useful was that the sound_DB.H file defines a 'left' and 'right' channel WAV file for each *.adx.

dreamcast uses the same compression ..
http://www.megagames.com/dc/files/adxutil10.zip will convert them

i tried all those utilities to convert the adx files. none of them work. they all say that the file is actually not an adx file. i'm guessing the header does not identify it as an adx file...with a different offset. or, like i said, it might actually break it down into a left and right channel wav file, as defined in the sound_db.h file. so, thanks, but those didn't work.

I would also be interested in knowing if there is a solution for this.
Anybody out there able to crack this nut? I've tried several of the utilities listed above and I get the same kind of messages. "Invalid format" -
I tried those programs too, and i got the same thing. invalid format.
I have a program that works to play ADX audio files and convert to wav format. I've never tried it on the Matrix, but it works for my PS2 games. The downside is that the quality totally sucks. It sounds like you busted your speakers. But its better than nothing, and I have not been able to find any other program that even works at all. The program is MFAudio and it plays other things too.
heres the official site.

but if anyone finds a better, i would still definitely like to know about it, i hate the way it degrades the audio quality. -
I googled for "Enter the Matrix" and "adx" and found the following program written specifically to decode the audio files:
Enter the Matrix Sound Manager v1.0.1
I've already tried it on the first file, and the result sounds great! -
I just downloaded all the ingame videos from eMule.
Perfect quality AVI's just need to convert/edit them in now

I guess I'm a bit of a noob, but how does one exatly use this matrix sound manager program. how do I enter the mode sound file thing (where do I type that info etc...)
thanks, -
I also do not understand how to use this program. Could someone please tell me where I type that info in? because nowhere in the readme does it say WHERE to type that shit
