Do I have to convert AVI's with 48000 to 41000 before running them through tmpg for svcd coversion ?

I forgot to add,
What about low sample rate such as 24000
can i just leave them ? -
The VCD and SVCD standards require 44100kHz audio. Most players have no problem with 48kHz audio, but anytime you deviate from the standard you run the risk of compatibility problems on any given player.
