  1. I used TMPGE to convert MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 for VCD and SVCD from the templates.

Adaptec 4.0 to burn VCD MPEG 1 file

Nero 5.518 to burn SVCD MPEG 2 file

    Results:

VCD plays on computer(Matrox DVD player), but won't play on stand alone DVD

SVCD won't play in neither computer nor stand alone DVD

Both files play fine on Windows Media Player 7.0

    What have done wrong?

Just as an addtional information, I live in Brazil. Could it be that zoning for stand alone DVD's here is getting in the way?

    Thanks

  4. Ok, I'm getting scandata.dat for SVCD/Nero - (it said it is to be able fast forward/rewind the SVCD on your standalone DVD-Player) - when stanalone is not reading at all.

Standalone I have is a Brazilian brand Gradiente, which normaly is a copy of JVC, it should be ok.

One last detail - I noticed I burned at 1x speed, and on "How To Author" here shows a picture with 4x speed.

    Should that make a difference?
