DiVX Settings

Ok, I encoded my first DiVX movie, but want to know I could have done any better. I have almost every video and audio codec, but I ended up installing Kristal Studio 4.33 pack with all those codecs. For all the people who convert DVD's to DiVX, what is your best result. Please be specific like what codec exactly the key frame, everything! I used Flask because I'm a newbie, but need to know details to get great clarity but getting a reasonable video size.

Use the divix 4 beta codec it has the best results so far that I have seen. Oh and dont use flask mpeg.

hmm.. then what program to use for dvd to divx? and also i was wondering if anyone knew how to put chapters in avi's (divx)?

Try Smartripper to generate vobs
DVD2AVI ---> d2v file and wav file
TMPGenc to generate Divx using divx 4 codec

what? Tmpg can't make divx, it makes vcds(xvcds,Svcds,SXvcds,ect.).

Your wrong....tmpgenc can make avi divx files..and very good ones too.

check things out properly first before you reply !
