DVD 2 Svcd 2 DVD-R

Im encoding friends right know 2 Svcd and wondering is there any way for me to put this compilation on DVD-R The reason why i ask is because i can fit 8 episodes in SVCD with 2600 Bitrate on 1 DVD using DVDX V.2.2.. Ive got two SVCD mpeg 2 files at 1,76 G each so that comes to a total off 3,52 G to be written to the DVD-R Disc Thats when we are talking size and I still have some space left as the media is 4,38 G BUT heres the PROB everytime i try to make a SVCD Compilation with NERO it tells me that I have to insert a CD-R Then I tried to make the compilation as a DATA DVD but didnt work wouldnt play on my standanone player I should mention that in these two large MPEG 2 files there are no chapters, if that matters

You cannot burn as SVCD on DVD. Why don't you convert to dvd with lower bitrate and lower resolution? Like 2600 kbit, 352x480 mpeg2...that is dvd mpeg compatible.

ok but which program do I need for this and remember ive got 2 folders containing 3,25 G each in raw DVD rip and I want to fit them both on one disc So how do i do that
