  1. yea another damn video clip, recently i downloaded a video clip from internet which have unknown audio format.I tried to play it with every player i known but none of them worked, morover, The video format is DVDRip.DivX.
    I decided to view the information of this video well i opened it with Virtualdub and it wrote down in' Audio stream section' this:
    sampling rate:48000Hz
    channels:5 stero
    sample precision:0-bit
    compression:unknown(tag 2000)
    preload skew:28000 samples

    i don't understand these information well i decided to ask some experts
    any help would be appreciate

    I have this very same error BUT I can play the file in WMP 9, VDub and WinDVD. I have not used GSpot yet but I'm pretty sure I don't have the codec, again, YET. I got it from the tools but I'm just asking for someone's opinion about WHY it can play in WMP but I can't encode it in TMPGEnc+.

    you can't encode it in tmpgenc because it has 5 channels of audio and tmpg vcd only uses 2. you must change it to a 2 channel wav first.

  6. yeah,to encode a file with ac3 you need to extract the wav with avi2wav then rename the extention to ac3 then convert to wav with HeadAC3he.
    or just extract the wav with goldwave.
