I have been using TMPGenc and CCE to encode my analog captures for a while. Recently I bought a digital camcorder, and made my first tests of capturing video from the camcorder and converting to DVD. TMPGenc opens and encodes the digital avi file without any problem: however, when I try to encode with CCE (v. 2.5) I get a message saying that the codec is wrong or missing. What should I do to solve this?

You AVI is probably Type-1 DV. I don't remember for certain, but I think that old version of CCE requires Type-2 AVI. You need to convert it to Type-2 using one of the freeware converters in the Tools section.

You were right (as usual
). I have tryed with CCE 2.66 and it worked nicely. Thanks again for your support (what would we do without you?)

Any number of people here could have answered for ya. I just have too much time on my hands, and I'm a fast typer :P
If you don't want to go to a newer version of CCE, you can just use a converter. If you can though, stick with the newer version. The features/fixes are worth it.Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
