    I have a file that I just tried to view through an avi viewer but cannot. The file extension is ts.ftf.wmv (whatever that means??). When I tried to view it I got a message 'file does not begin with a RIFF or MPEG HEADER.
    What does that mean and am I able to author?? convert?? it so I can make a vcd out of it through VCDeasy

    its a windows media file. not a mpeg which is what you need to author a vcd.

    check conversion guides on the left
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
    VOB2MPG PRO, Extract mpegs from your DVDs - with you in control!

    What that means is that you downloaded an illegal movie that is probably still in theatres, as that is a bootleg video ID.
    I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
