    Hi everyone
    I've been reading alot of topics on this forum about this problem I'm having, but couldn't find a solution to it, so, I'm basically asking for help here
    OK, got LOTR TT downloaded. It's on Xvid format.
    I always frameserve the movies with the subtitles on ssa format to get the movie on VCD format (through TMPGEnc).
    Now, I did it as always, and can't get TMPGEnc to open the frameserved .VDR file. TMPGEnc says "can not open, or unsupported".
    What's strange to me, is that TMPGEnc actually OPENS the .AVI files, and the picture is great............... But I need the movie with subtitles in spanish language. So I framserve it with VirtualDub, but TMPGEnc can't open it.
    I have installed everything, from DivX filters, FFDshow, everything I guess.
    The versions I'm using are:

    TMPGEnc = 2.510.49.157

    VirtualDub = 1.5.1 Build 15664

    I also tried VirtualModDub as a server, but TMPGEnc is not able to read the VDR file.

    First time I don't get TMPGEnc to read a .VDR file.

    Any help? Will be MUCH appreciated)))))))

  2. Try reinstalling the handler again in virtual dub. If that doesn't work turn on the avi proxy and frameserve your film from virtual dub with an avi extension. Let us know if it works.

    Thanks so much for your help)))))))))) Anyway, it didn't work.
    Any other idea of why TMPGEnc won't open a frameserved AVI that normally it does?
    Thanks a bunch)))))

  4. if u have vob sub installed, u dont need to frameserve from virtuldub. just open the file with the subtitle file in the samefolder. Vobsub should open and tmpeg should encode the movie with the subtitles. U could check if the subtitles or on by using preview in tmpeg. I also had the same problem so i did some reading around the net. It seems that virtualdub doesnt support xvid. hope it helped.
