I have followed the guides here, trying to convert DivX to DVD. I have already extracted the audio using Virtualdub and converted the video to MPEG2 using TMPGEnc. My new MPEG2 has no sound though, so am I right that I am still supposed to merge my new audio with my new video? Or did I do something wrong earlier? If I need to merge the audio & video together, how do I do this? I don't think that my DVD burning software will do it ... I need the MPEG2 to have the sound. Thanks for a great site!

The audio file that contains the you extracted with Virtual Dub, use it as audio input when you encode the MPEG-2 to SVCD.
Hello. -
I'm sorry, Tommyknocker ... this is my 1st attempt & I'm obviously missing something that is very obvious.
Ater extracting the audio with Virtualdub, I used the new audio file as the audio input when converting the AVI to MPEG2 with TMPGEnc. The result was 2 new files (1 video & 1 audio), but the video itself had no audio. Now I don't know where to go. Is it something that has to do with "multiplex" with TMPGEnc? Where do I go & what do I use? Sorry ... thanks! -
you can multiplex with tmpgenc
