  1. i have been trying to copy dvd's to dvd-r i have it down but sometimes there is a pause in the movie but then i thought to use dvd-rw incase it does it again i can re burn it. but now i am having problems getting dvd-rw to dvd-r and dont know what program is compatable with writable dvd's can anyone help me with what program to use?

    Any software that can read pressed DVDs should be able to read burnt DVDs. Use DVD Decryptor, its easy and its free.

    Set it to iso mode->read. It will make an iso image of your disk.

    Then set it to iso mode->write and point it to your iso image and it will burn it to whatever media you want.

    it took car of my wriing problem but at the very end of the movie it was skipping now i had no other programs running and just did a hard boot before i started to read and burn can anyone help me out the dvd-rw was perfect no skipping or anything can anyone help me out or tell me how they do it thanks in advance

    I think your problem is that the hardware player isn't reading the dvd-r media well, which often leads to skipping, especially at the end of the disk.

    When converting from one digital medium (dvd-rw vs. dvd-r) it is a digital transfer. The dvd-r should be identical to the dvd-rw, but these two types of media have different compatibilities with different players. I'd check the dvd media list and the dvd player list to your left and see if you can find a brand of dvd-r that works better on your player, otherwise you may have to use dvd-rw.
