  1. I'm trying to place subtitles permanently onto an .avi film, so that I can convert it to SVCD. I've followed the guide completely, but when I get to the Frameserving bit, I save it as a .vdr file, and then it doesn't seem to do anything. It brings up the "FRAMESERVER MODE" box, but doesn't seem to do much.

How long does it take? And why can I not save it as an .avi file ie. why does it need to be .vdr?

Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

Interesting. It sounds like once you put Virtual Dub into frameserving mode, you did not open TMPGEnc. Is this right? If it is, you need TMPGEnc to encode the vdr file into MPEG.
    Hello.

  3. Yeah you're right. I worked it out just after posting on here. I opened TMPGEnc, found the file and then frameserved into it!

    Thanks for the help!
