  1. Hey guys! I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not. I own a Sony DVP-NS315 CD/DVD Player. I wanted to turn a VCD into a VHS tape to watch it in my school(they're too cheap to have DVD players). So how would i go about doing this? I saw somewhere that I just have to connect the 3 component cables(Video, and the 2 Audio ones. The Yellow, Red, and White ones) and connect the DVD and the VCR together and start recording on the VCR and press play on the DVD player. If anyone could confirm if this is right or not, id really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

  2. This will only work if macrovision is disabled on your DVD player. Check the DVD players list to the left for your player.

  3. If he's copying from a non copyrighted VCD, then isn't macrovision no longer an issue?

I've copied VCD's that I've made (from d/l movies) to VHS for a friend because his DVD player wouldn't play VCD's. All I did was as jokerkid613 said, I hooked the audio out R/L from my DVD player to my VCR's audio in R/L and the video out from my DVD player to the video in on my VCR. Hit record on my VCR then play on my DVD player. The VHS tape looked exactly like the VCD's.

Easy. I just use the output from my ATI All In Wonder card. Simple as pie.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

But wouldn't the output from the DVD player be better??
I Tried it with tv-out and direct from the standalone DVD player.
The results were better from the DVD player.
The only benefit of the tv-out was being able to control screen size brightness etc.
