I have been able to produce beautiful menu based SVCDs with Nero 5.5.3.5 and 5.5.4.0 however when they contain more than 8 chapters, it seems they are subject to some distortion. I have played them back with both winDVD on my PC and in my Apex 600a and gotten similar results. The tracks that get screwed up are only the upper tracks. Has anyone tried making SVCDs with this many chapters with any success? Do you suppose this is Nero or my Sony CRX140E burner causing this problem?
