  1. I bought a rental dvd from the shop, I want to back it up, the dvd has 2 title sets. The main movie files will fit onto a DVD5 if I can remove the second title set which is only trailers for upcoming films.

When the DVD first plays, it comes up with the usual copyright warning message and then plays a studio movie logo. It immediately plays the trailers (roughly 15mins) and then the main movie menu is displayed.

Is there a way to remove the trailers section from the TS.ifo file so it doesnt call it?
If I delete the .vob file that contrains the trailers and leave its .ifo it works fine on the hardrive with a software dvd player but when I try to burn I get an error saying that the .vob file cannot be found.

    thx

Depends on how you want to go about it. Do you still want the menus? If you don't care about those I can name 2 very easy ways to do this. If you want the menus then I'll leave this question to someone who can better answer it.

  3. You can do that, follow the guide to remove copyright warning on this site, you have to indentify the VOB ID and delete the playback from the IFO file. This approach will keep the menu.

Let me know if you can't find it.
