  1. Does anyone know how to get a mpeg-1 file into a dv format .avi file that Adobe Premiere 6.5 can read reliably and then output to mpeg-2 after some editting?

I've tried flask, but I can't figure out how to get it to output to a dv file.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Well, I used tmpgenc to output an uncompress avi file that Premiere loaded/played just fine, but about 75% of the time when I export the clip as an mpeg2 from Premiere's built-in Main Concept encoder, the audio is SCREWED UP. Really loud static. Brutally loud static is more like it.

Well it would be really cool to find out if anyone else has run into this, so I could rule out my PC setup which was working fine 2 weeks ago with this kind of thing.

I don't know if Premiere has a problem with 320x240 .avi's such that it can't convert them. Any thoughts???
