  1. I've checked the website and the manuals, but I can't find any help for my problem. My problem isn't that I can't get sound... my problem is muffled sound. The video quality is fine, I've tried MPEG1 and MPEG2 and both I have set up to the highest audio quality when recording. I have the volumes turned all the way up in the volume control in the bottom right corner. I have the cable going directly from the wall into the computer, so there shouldn't be anything muffling it down there. I've installed the newest drivers for ATI and for DirectX, and yet it still records muffled. I thought it might be my sound card (a $30 Muse card from Best Buy) but the guy told me at Best Buy that the sound recording is done on the ATI card and not on the sound card, so that shouldn't be the problem. Anyone else have any ideas what could be the problem?

I have the All-In-Wonder Pro 32, but this should be the same. I'm looping the audio out from the AIW to the Line-In on my sound card. You might need to adjust the line-in level.

    1. Double click on the little speaker in the system tray at the bottom right of the desktop. You should see your volume mixer window.

    2. From the OPTIONS menu select Properties. You should see the properties window.

    3. Select the RECORDING option button in the "Adjust volume for" frame. Make sure line-in is checked in the "show the following volume controls listbox.

    4. Click OK

    5. You should now see the Recording Control mixer window.

    6. Adjust the line-in level to someware in the middle and try recording again.

SPECIAL TIP: If you keep this window open while recording, the bar graph will show you the output level for fine tuning.

Hope this helps because mine records great sound for TV surround shows JimJohnD
