  1. There's only two movies in the series? If you only like one... nevermind, I just want to address some of what you brought up.
No, there is also Animatrix series of short video cips which considered part of the series. And as a whole I like them better than what I saw in Reloaded.

As Im sure the sex scene was purposeful. I thought the same thing as far as them having a "special" offspring. But then the idea of that reminds me too much of X-men comics as far as Jean Grey & Cyclops offspring. I hope that the W brothers are more original than that.

I don't think the dancing scene will prove to be as purposeful as others think.

The fight with Seraph was a bit gratutious, but it was only like a minute long. Big deal. Seraph is also in the Revolutions trailer so he'll be coming back.
That's my whole point, the fact that it is only a minute long is what makes it seem like it was only included to meet a quota. He could been easily introduce as being someone to protect the Oracle by simply standing in the background and having Neo ask "who is that"...and Oracle replying, "o you know the answer to that already"

The Meravingian making the woman horny lead to him following her into the bathroom to get head, causing his wife to get upset and lead Neo to the keymaker. It was all cause and effect, as he said.
Again, you are missing my point. I'm not questioning the structure nor the implied symbolism. I didn't care for the use of it. The same sequence could have played out just as well had Meravingian simply cause the woman to come over to the table, be flirtatious with him, & then maybe 2 of them slip to a balcony.

In every example of an alternative that you just gave, the result would have been much more boring... you could say "they could have just..." for anything, but to each his own.

yes, you did miss a lot. you're probably one of those that kept walking out every couple of minutes, not get the movie, then criticize it for not having a plot.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

I've had to explian "The guy on the table at the end" twice now, both to very intellegent people who just didn't pick it up when they saw it.

  7. Saw the movie yesterday. I was entertained. I think people set themselves up for dissapointment by expecting a sequel to be worse than the original, and as soon as the plot gets a little complicated, they say "see I knew it would suck". When I finished the movie, I was excited to see it again because of the unanswered questions and the amazing CG stuff. I don't remember saying that about any action movie I've seen in the last two years, including Spiderman, and I'm a Spiderman buff. Reloaded is a movie I would buy on dvd just to see it again, you can't say that about too many movies.

Its one of the last, if not the very last scenes in the movie. At the end it shows Neo in a coma and then they say that only 1 person survived the initial attack on Zion but that he was also in a coma, or at least seriously hurt. Then it cuts to the guy on the table. Its the guy that was infected by Agent Smith, who tried unsuccessfully to kill Neo on Zion.

Okay, nevermind. I remember that scene, but I just couldn't place it when I read the sentence.

Here's an open question to anyone who wants to try and answer it. When Agent Smith was in that guy's body and had the carpet cutter (It looks like one!), why was he cutting himself? My guess is that he wanted to experience pain as a human.

Yeah I wasn't sure about that one either. I was thinking maybe his blood carries a virus which would have made Neo another clone of agent Smith. While in the Matrix he did try to turn both Neo and Morpheus into clones.

You know what's really crazy? I still have not seen it, even though it sits on a hard drive right now
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  14. I liked the movie in general. I can't wait to see the next one... I did hear a lot of people bad mouthing it(I went a week after it opened). They complained that it was confusing and it didn't end, etc. I didn't have an issue understanding it(although I didn't realize the symbolism some of the scenes had) and no problem that it didn't end. I do have one compaint though, some of the scenes were over extended a bit. Like that fight scene with Agent Smiths, the dancing scene, and a couple other's that I forgot.

Anybody notice the scene where Neo talks with one of the council members, they were talking about how humans need machines and machines need humans, I think he knew that Zion was going to be destroyed. When the "creator" of the matrix talks with neo, he said something along the lines of "Zion will be destroyed leaving a small amount of humans to reproduce", I think that council guy was one of the survivors of the last time the city was destoryed and he knew that this was comming.

I was kinda assuming the same thing, he's getting alot of input he's never had before. Perhaps we will see some further changes in him from his experiance... perhaps.

The trailer for 3 is cool, the one we posted the link to has the greatest scene, the one where Smith is laughing wildly... kinda erry if ya ask me.

As far as the counciler (sp?) being a survivor of the last time... well perhaps, but at least Morphus seems to think its been at least 100 years. I think it more likely that he knows because its passed down to some of its members.

Actually, I was thinking that the old guy may have been a program that exited the Matrix and possesed a human body, something like Smith. He did seem kind of kooky, like the Oracle.

  18. the woman who played the oracle died and in the video game and the next movie the new actor tells them she changed her image for better protection.
