  1. Let's get the party started. I saw the new Matrix movie Reloaded and I think it was very, very good. Even better than the first one because we now see further into Neo's journey to find the truth for himself. Not to mention the action and special effects. There were just so many things I liked about it.

One of my favorite scenes was after Neo talks with the Oracle and an old enemy returns, Mr. Smith. Or should I say, his entire army of identical Mr. Smiths. Wow, the moves and the camera shots were unlike I have ever seen in any movie up to now. They were great. And when he sends an awsome shockwave to the ground and takes off flying. It looked really cool. 8)

So what did you guys like most? Or what comments or questions would you like to know about?

I'm going to see it on Sunday. Hopefully the crowds will be smaller.

I was like "Hey, honey, let's leave the baby with mom and go see the Matrix 2."

She was like "Not yet. He's too small."

    I was like "....."

She was like "You can go by yourself, or with your friends, without me."

    I was like "Okay."

  3. Remember when Mr. Smith travels to Zion thru the phone? I don't understand why he has a knife in hand and cuts himself on his palm to bleed before seeing Neo. It seems he wanted to stab Neo, but changed his mind when that pesky guy calls out for Neo. In a way, this forces Smith to switch hands and just take off.

Here's another, towards the very end of the movie, who was that guy left on the table behind Neo? He had a gotee, I thought it was Edward Norton, the actor.

Anyway, its seems pretty clear that Smith and Neo are some how connected. I think Smith will have a central role in resolving the plot of this movie, he was in the trailer too. The movie really has so many apects to think about and thats another reason its so good.

this movie was awsome! the first one was deep! now its very deep! i love the story! and everytime he does something unhuman its so KoOL! like when he was flying at the speed of light!hahaha! and then flew ever faster just to catch trinity! that was insane! when i first saw the trailer and neo was flying i was like "that's so stupid! its too much" but now after seeing the whole movie it makes sense!!!!! i think next his gona turn into a "supersayen" haahha! nway... also i love how he always surprsises the programs with his ability or power.... thers some funny moments too in da movie.. also... i thought the albino twins were koOL and da love story between neo and trinity was nice and how he braought her back to life!!!! i wish i can do that hhhe!

Oh ya! do u remember when he meet the architect! ? some people n da theater shouted "is that god?" hahaha! i thought so too! and when he was telling that this whole thing happend b4 like six times was kinda confusing! like did he also built or made the "Humans"?

also at the end with those octopos thingy's how neo killed them! that was crazyyy! another "unhuman" abillity! he is the one! and when i saw that i thought that they were still n da matrix! but i like how neo now has special ability in the "real world" and not just n da matrix...

I also like the story about the oracle and how they are programs and they are good and bad ones..... but at da end neo said she lied.... so was she a good guy or bad guy? or girl..

Overall i really like the story in this one and special effects and action much better that da first one.... bettter story and special effects! the only thing wrong and i ddin't like bout this movie was the end wher it said
"to be concluded..." !!!!!!! that was horrible! have to wait a long time again to see it!

Also for those people or reviews that dont like the movie i guess theyr not a matrix fan..... its kOoL i can see how they would think its "horrible or unreal" but this whole matrix story does make sense!!!!!! like what if this isnt' the real world? and when u die etc.... hehehe i could go on...

  5. I consider myself a Matrix series fan, but Im not a fan of this movie.
In the 1st one, about every scene dealt with the plot in some form. This one, there was no need for the "club matrix" scene, no need for the fight between Seprah(oracle's body gaurd) & Neo, & truly no need for the issue on Merivian(sp?) to make that cick horny.

The W brothers had 4 years, and this is the best they can do???? The action sequences were not they far & above what they have done before as they hyped. Unlike the 1st movie, the sequences are overdone and the CGI made it too fantasy like. The action in the original was not only a truly outstanding piece of work but still provided some physical realism. The much hyped freeway scene is the only thing that kept me from walking out.

Very few questions from the 1st movie were answered in this one. I would have preferred to sit through 3.5-4 hours of Reloaded/Revolution at one time as oppose to it being broken apart. The plot meanders badly simply because sooo many new faces wered introduced whereas in the 1st one you had central core of about 4-5 main characters that truly essential to the plot. That core has doubled to about 10-12 people now.

Now if this was the intent of the W brothers, then job well done. For me, as a standalone movie, it doesnt work.

  6. The next installment is due in Nov. I'll just wait till the box set with all 3 in it comes out. It'll be money well spent if for nothing else the little extras. From what I heard it's got parts that are wayyyyyyyyyyy too long and others that have no bearing on the plot. Not to mention the bazillion corporate tie-ins to this movie. And that new cell phone that retails at around a comfy 500 bucks??!!?? YOu really have to be kidding. What's next?

i feel the same way. a lot of people are all like, "oh, i don't think that was realistic at all." a lot of people also didn't like movies like crouching tiger, hidden dragon. their response was, "i don't like the way they're all flying around like that. its not realistic." yet the same people had no problem when they went to see spider-man. like that movie is some kind of documentary. sometimes you have to let go of all that. i feel people criticize too much. its just a movie. its only for entertainment.

  13. Thanks for the info. Now I got some info for Kdiddy and the rest. Everything in this movie is very symbolic and draws parallelism from human history and the world we live in now.

More specifically, the chick scene and its meaning. Instead of paraphrasing, I'll just re-post what wwillpower420 posted since he's more versed in Greek mythology.

    >>>OK, this is for the philosophically challenged folks, which I find abundant on this board. I've seen the movie a few times and have come to these conclusions.

    1. A lot of you guys seem confused by the French dude and his wife Persophone. We'll start with her. Persophone in Greek myth was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter (goddess of earth and agriculture). Hades (lord of the underworld) fell in love with her, and stole her from Demeter. He allowed her to leave the underworld only once a year (springtime), but made her eat a pomegrante (fruit of the underworld) seed before she left, to guarantee her return. Now, you ask what does this have to do with the flick?

The Merovingian a.k.a. The French Dude (more on what a Merovingian is later) was the lord of the Matrix underworld, you see how he surrounded himself with werewolves (Persophone kills one with a silver bullet) and wraiths (the twins) and who knows what other occult creatures. The cake the Merovingian wrote and which the blonde eats, causes her to orgasm and is symbolic as it represents the food of the underworld (the pomegranate) which The Merovingian uses to entrap his women. (Don't forget he followed the blonde to the john to get a blow job.) Persophone, forever craving to escape, uses Neo to fulfill her desires and to escape her bonds.

    2. The Merovingian. In history, the Merovingians are an ancient lineage of Franco-Germanic kings who were appointed by the biblical Joseph of Arimathea, in 55 A.D. to preserve protect and quest for the Holy Grail. They are the part of the Order of the Holy Grail more commonly known as the Knights Templar. If you notice in the movie, when Morpheus, Neo, and Trinity meet the Merovingian, he is seated at a table which is representative of the table at the Last Supper. The Holy Grail was the cup from which Christ drank wine from at that supper. The Merovingian was also drinking wine from a grail, but in his case his purpose was to preserve and protect the Keymaker. (We can only assume that he already quested for the Keymaker.) <<<<

    Are we clear now

  14. Thanks for the unneccesary trip through history.

Showing lust & control of women can be illustrated in much better ways than showing a computer genrated version of women's crotch becoming wet & following it up with a BJ in the bathroom in my opinion. Im not questioning the use of symbolism, but instead the respresentation of that symbolism, got it? Moreover, if someone didn't get recognize the mytholigcal symbols leading up to that moment, then surely they would not have understood the relation of that particular sequence. Thus as I stated before, a useless sequence IMO.

His fight with Seprah, again, meaningless in terms logic. You mean to tell me the Oracle is poweful enough to sense danger when Agent Smith is getting near, but yet isn't powerful enough to tell when the real Neo is approaching? She could have alerted Seprah as to that in fact was truly Neo and there was no need to "test" him. To me that was a pitiful attempt to meet an action sequence quota.

As far as the realism aspect, I mean from a humanistic standpoint. I don't like the use of the CGI characters interixed during action scenes because then I feel like Im watching cartoon (another reason I don't feel so highly about The Hulk). I wasn't questioning the realism of their actions. As also Im not questioning the quality of the CGI itself. If somehow the Neo vs. Smith to the 100th power could have been pulled off w/o any CGI use, I might have listed as a classic scene.

Its had me since day one...

    [spoilers ahead]

Well I finally got a chance to see it and personally I loved it, in fact I'll likely be seeing it again on Sunday. There were a few moments I feel could have been pull off a little better but all in all it was everything I was expecting and more.

I had no problems with the zion dance scene, I felt it was just humans celebrating being human, and also showed that zion is NOT filled with masses of downtrodden humans.

Yes the fight with the guy guarding the oracle was not really needed, but its not like it took that long.

there is only one FX in the entire movie that bothered me, when the zillion Smiths scene is happening, 2 smiths grab his bar and he flips around on it., at that point you see it bend in a way it shouldn't. Would bother me usually but I caught it and so it does, it was WAY obvious to me.

Other then that it was great, and I can't wait for 3. BTW did everyone say through the credits for the teaser? I noticed that 95% of the people in mine did not...

I enjoyed the first movie more. This one was either philosophical or action. The scenes alternated between the two. The first Matrix blended the two together more. The symbolisms and everything were great, but there just wasn't a good flow. To me, it seemed that a lot of good ideas were kind of just crammed together and polished with special effects.

Don't get me wrong. I did like the movie, but I thought that it was going to be a lot better.

I just saw reloaded today and i thought this movie was great. I liked it not for the visual effects or the fight sceens but for the story it told. When you think about it, what a twist this story takes.

I've been thinking about the movie since yesterday and I change my opinion. I saw the first one about 5 times in bits and pieces on pay-per-view before I really started to like it. The more analyze the movie, the more it makes sense. I understood it the first time around, but all the little details are starting to click in my mind.

I want to go see it again, so I can catch all the things I missed the first time. What started to intrigue me was the whole Neo not being the one, yet he is thing. It shows the tenacity of the human race. Neo found out that he was just a pawn the whole time, yet he's going to make a difference. The machines' plan will end up biting them in the ass, despite their ability to think out every situation.

    The Matrix has me...

Do you think there will be a baby Neo? I'm pretty sure that sex scene wasn't just random. I definitely didn't need to see Keanu's man ass, though.

  25. Get this everyone!:

Today The Matrix Reloaded is being released in UK cinemas. I figured i may as well try and get some tickets, living in Birmingham (2nd biggest city in england) you would think "not a chance for at least a week") i went to the odeon web site as there is an odeon near me in the city centre which is reasonably small and quiet. I thought i would try to book tickets online so i got half way through registering etc when i realised they were going to charge me a 50p handling fee for my ticket (i was gonna get 3).

Being a student i am the stingiest guy u will ever meet so decided to walk the 20 mins in the rain so save myself a whopping £1.50. I also had this free ticket thing from a packet of Doritos which entitles you to 1 free ticket if you guess a random question. I figured i may as well bring it and mull over the puzzle on the way. When i arrived i bought 3 tickets to an 8.05 showing of the matrix reloaded,i had no idea the answer to this puzzle but fortunatly there was a hot woman in the booth and with a grin she told me the answer!!! OH YEAH!!!! SCORE!!!!

so, in summary, i got 1 ticket for free (and i didn;t even buy the doritos, nor did i guess the secret answer!) and i got another 2 tickets for my mates at student prices totalling £5-00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, the blagging is not over yet! On several accasions i have brought a large coat to this cinema, holding it over my arm. underneath my arm is a big Sainsburies bag, full of coke, popcoarn (Sainsburies own brand is SO nice!) and sweets for a fraction of the price Odeon would charge, and i jus walk right through saying "cheers man" to the bouncer guy who checks my ticket! Also, if you go to Sainsburies just before it closes they have all the coockies etc for insanely cheap prices (10p instead of £1) because they go off that day, so they go under the coat aswell!

Is that impressive work or what!?!!?!?!?
1)Why Not Overclock a little?! speed 4 free!!!!
    2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website

There's only two movies in the series? If you only like one... nevermind, I just want to address some of what you brought up.

The rave scene was necessary to illustrate how people in Zion lived, and the spirit of people unafraid of the machines. I wasn't a fan of the music, but the scene didn't take away anything from the movie. It definitely deals with the plot.

The fight with Seraph was a bit gratutious, but it was only like a minute long. Big deal. Seraph is also in the Revolutions trailer so he'll be coming back.

The Meravingian making the woman horny lead to him following her into the bathroom to get head, causing his wife to get upset and lead Neo to the keymaker. It was all cause and effect, as he said.

As some others have speculated, it seems very likely that the Zion sex scene was there for a specific reason and not just for gratuity. I find it hard to believe people write this scene off so easily. Neo probably impregnated Trinity. Her child probably has an incredibly important significance to the story.

    Spoiler!!!

My guess is that her child continues the blood line of "the One" and either him (the machines would alter the matrix somehow) or one of his future children would be "The One" the next time Zion would need to fall. Remember, its all a cycle until the machines can figure out why some humans reject the Matrix.

yes, and aside from that... Neo is the 6th one. With all of the religious subtexts in the story, he's taken the role of Jesus so far in both movies. It wouldn't surprise me if he died to save Zion in Revolutions...

The fight with Seraph was to demonstrate his purpose, which was to protect the Oracle. The whole deal with machines was purpose.
