I have had no problems whatsoever with any codecs so far in my life until today.

I Upgraded my computer and Changed Video Card
ATI AIW Radeon 32 ddr -> ASUS Geforce4200 128 ddr

Now all my Xvid movies seems to play with only 256 colors... (that's just what it loks like not something I know)

Everything else plays fine. DivX, Mpeg, mpeg-2 and DV.. all good!

    Please help!!!!
    Thanx/

I already did that before I read your replay. It did'nt work. I have also tried thre different Xvid installatrions with the same result.

The thing is everythign else is fine so I doubt it would have anythign to do with Overlay and all that, it's juts Xvid that's troubling me!

So, some other tips out there PLEASE??!!!
    Thanx/

    I have solved it.

I installed the ffdshow filter, the problem remained.

So I changed the windows color Depth to Truecolor32 bit instead of Highcolor16 and suddlenly the videos looked okay BUT the output on the movies on the TV dissapeard.. so I changed back again. When having 16 bits the videos work on the tv out but they look like shit on tboth the tv out and the Monitor. When I have 32 bit they look fine on the monitor but does'nt even show on the TV (just black).

SO I figured I could change some settings in ffdshow and I could.. I have no ide what I did but I unchecked some stuff (YUV and HUFF.. or whatever those letters stand for) about the Overlay thing I guess and suddenly it works fine..
    Thanx/
