  1. This has happened before and I haven't found a solution to the problem, yet.
I downloaded an SVCD from USENET and after un-raring the files, got a Quicktime mpeg file. It won't play in QuickTime. If I convert it to a .bin file using VCDGear, I can burn it as a VCD but the movie is compressed into a square, plays on the left side of the screen with a black surround on three sides. What can I do to get the dimensions of the movie right?
BTW - I can't get the Windows version of VCDGear to work in VPC. I get a message saying that an illegal operation was performed and the prog. is shutting down.

    Thanks for any info, Dave

  2. check the size of the movie to see if it is SVCD compliant
use VcdimagerEasy LATEST VERSION under PC emulation to convert the mpg into bin (SVCD compliant, check the Toast option)
drop the resulting two files on Toast XA multitrack mode and burn

  3. btw, as far as I know, the latest vcdimagereasy gui has support for outputting directly toast compatible tracks... no need to use fireburner anymore...
