That happend to me once. I even went into control panel and had the start menu checked to run. After restarting several (3 or 4) it just appeared again? I didnt change anything it just showed up again. Oh and all the other profiles on the computer had the taskbars it was just mine missing.

    Kabe,
Does this mean that they replaced the CPU/MOBO? Which did they blame as the culprit?
Do you HAVE a Start Menu in C;\Windows, and do you have a Start Menu folder? I'm at a loss as to why you wouldn't have (no XPerience), but when you install, it "almost" has to create a Start Menu. Have you tried a re-install? I mean, it is a new computer, all over again. The BIOS may be different from the old board. BTW, just for the heck of it, you should update the BIOS. The board is at least a few months old. They build a bunch before they ship a batch, and they get the BIOS written before they build the first 1. They may have written a ton of updates for it, by now.
Glad you got it running. Since it quit on Day 2 last time, let us know if it is running tomorrow. Here's knocking on wood for ya'. K-nock, K-nock.
