Hi,
As encoding to SVCD gives bigger file size, I was considering in using 90 min CD's. But how could I know if my cd burner support overburning?
Thanks

Get a 90min CD. Try to burn 90+ minutes of audio on it...

Burning 90 min on a 90 min CD is no overburning. Overburning is when you use a part of the "Lead Out" on the CD for your data. In this way you can add about 15 to 20 MB of data extra to a CD. If your burner supports overburn......
You still have to try if your burner supports the 90 min CD in the normal way.

Actually, burning anything over 80mins could be considered overburning as that is as large as discs get in the specs.
Many/most CD-R of 90/99min capacity still report that their capacity is only that of an 80min CD so not to confuse some older CD-RW drives. Thus, also long as your CD-R/W drive can ignore the reported capacity and burn beyond it (which is usually required for burning 90/99min CD-R discs), it can overburn.
Burning 90min onto a 90min disc could be considered "safe" overburning insofar that you KNOW that the disc actually has sufficient sectors for that amount of data.

I agree. It's more a matter of interpretation of the CD specification.
