Will this work?

The Pan E30 manual says that the recorder can record in anamorphic on DVD-RAM. Will this work?
1. Set all region player to 16 x 9
2. Play anamorphic pal dvd -sending it to the recorder which is recording onto DVD-RAM
3. Play back the DVD-RAM recording with the recorder set to 4 x 3
4. Will the black bars(letterbox) appear on a 4 x 3 tv?
5. Copy the letterboxed DVD-RAM to a dvd-r using two recorders.
6. Will you get a letterbox dvd-r that will play letterbox on a dvd player hooked up to 4 x 3 tv?
